
Project/Account Manager – Medical Communications

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Oversee designated projects from initiation to completion (including but not limited to exhibit booths, patient materials/programs, advisory boards, roundtables, teleconferences/webcasts, publications, clinical posters, monographs, newsletters, KOL activities, speakers’ bureaus, case studies, and speaker training).
• Ensure that deliverables align with client expectations, timelines, and budgetary constraints.
• Create and manage project timelines, status reports, and tracking tools.
• Facilitate project launch meetings, coordinate ongoing activities, and handle close-out procedures.
• Assign tasks and manage workflow to ensure timely and compliant project completion.
• Identify, evaluate, and proactively mitigate risks, issues, and changes in project scope.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients on assigned projects; oversee daily communication and set expectations.
• Conduct project status meetings, prepare agendas, provide updates, and outline action items.
• Address client inquiries and feedback professionally, escalating issues as needed.
• Foster and sustain strong working relationships with clients, faculty, and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate both internal and external resources for effective project execution.
• Collaborate with Medical Strategy, Editorial, Creative, Meeting, IT & Web, Fulfillment, and Accounting teams.
• Manage external vendors and freelance collaborators for logistics, production, and content creation.
• Develop, oversee, and control project budgets in accordance with approved scopes.
• Monitor financials and forecast project expenditures in partnership with finance/accounting.
• Work with internal teams to manage vendor costs and reconcile project financials.
• Mentor and provide support to junior team members (Associate Project Managers, Project Coordinators).
• Ability to independently manage complex projects from inception to completion.
• Strong communication and relationship management capabilities with internal teams and external clients.
• Expertise in budgeting, timeline management, and project reporting.
• Skills in risk identification, prioritization, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Exceptional attention to detail and robust organizational abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
• Bachelor’s degree preferred (in Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field); relevant experience may be accepted as a substitute for a degree.
• 3-5 years of pertinent professional or agency experience, ideally within medical communications, medical education, or similar settings.
