Project Superintendent – Field Service, Job Site Supervisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Provide daily leadership and guidance for all on-site project staff, ensuring tasks are carried out according to approved procedures.

• Maintain open communication with the customer representative to ensure activities are well-coordinated.

• Oversee overtime, attendance, and daily meetings while establishing clear performance expectations.

• Accountable for ensuring the project adheres to its schedule, making adjustments as needed and tracking daily, weekly, and monthly objectives.

• Prepare comprehensive records of daily activities, weather conditions, personnel present, issues encountered, and communications made.

• Maintain an up-to-date project manual that includes drawings, the current project schedule, QA records, customer signoffs, and daily reports.

• Provide the Project Manager with regular updates on progress and any potential impacts to the project timeline.

• Observe crew activities, equipment operations, and neighboring shipboard operations.

• Collaborate with the Project Manager to tackle and resolve any situations that impede TSS's production, including liaising with Customers, Vendors, and Management.

• Ensure that all employees, contractors, and visitors comply with all TSS and customer safety protocols, utilize all required PPE, and are familiar with emergency procedures.

• Supervise the on-site inventory of consumables and notify the Project Manager when restocking is necessary.

• Execute other related duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven leadership abilities with the capacity to effectively supervise and coordinate teams in technical or trade settings.

• Skilled in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.

• Ability to read and analyze MS Project schedules.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is necessary.

• Strong knowledge of Excel and MS Project is highly preferred.

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to address and resolve issues as they arise.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong dedication to producing high-quality work.

• Capacity to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• Familiarity with OSHA safety practices and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment; knowledge of maritime industry safety regulations is preferred.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and the Project Manager.

• Demonstrated flexibility and willingness to assume various roles in a small-company setting, including taking on responsibilities across multiple functions.

• Ability to obtain and maintain access to government-controlled facilities, secure a DBIDS credential, and achieve necessary security clearances, while also maintaining a valid U.S. Driver’s License and U.S. Passport.

• Capability to pass mandatory pre-employment screenings, including a criminal background check.

• Must be able to provide proof of "U.S. Person" status as defined by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR): a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual.
