Project Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Oversee assigned project workstreams, which include productivity, qualification, training, crowd communications, and QA, to guarantee timely delivery in accordance with execution standards.

• Provide exceptional annotation and QA during POC and pilot stages to set quality benchmarks and mitigate risks in new client relationships right from the start.

• Collaborate with Client Partners and Pilot Teams to confirm quote assumptions, such as time-per-task and quality specifications, prior to finalization.

• Examine datasets to uncover patterns, insights, and optimization opportunities that inform automation strategies and inspire thought leadership content for clients.

• Act as the AI expert point of contact for Project Managers and Client Partners during client meetings, workshops, QBRs, and status updates.

• Ensure version control and change communication protocols are maintained to keep contributors informed of guideline updates before launch and throughout the production process.

• Convert QA findings into focused enhancements to supporting materials, thereby reducing recurring annotation errors and elevating overall data quality.

• Offer data-supported findings and consultancy insights to enhance Appen's advisory value during critical early project phases and ongoing client interactions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in coordinating or delivering data annotation, content evaluation, or AI training data projects within a structured delivery environment.

• Strong grasp of data quality principles, QA methodologies, and annotation workflows within the GenAI or related AI sectors.

• Capacity to produce clear and accurate contributor-facing documentation, such as guidelines, FAQs, and cheatsheets, under tight deadlines.

• Experience in supporting pilot or POC phases, including the validation of operational assumptions and the establishment of quality benchmarks.

• Proven ability to analyze datasets, detect patterns, and convert findings into actionable insights or process enhancements.

• Effective communicator with experience engaging cross-functional stakeholders, including participation in client-facing meetings, workshops, or reporting cycles.

• Methodical approach to version control, update management, and change communication across distributed contributor teams.

• Comfortable managing multiple concurrent workstreams with a strong sense of ownership and attention to delivery standards.
