Project Risk Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• You will spearhead and facilitate the risk management process, encompassing the identification, evaluation, and proactive handling of risks (both threats and opportunities).

• You will ensure that risk information remains current and aligned with industry best practices, adhering to ISO 31000:2018 standards.

• You will create risk management plans, maintain risk registers, and generate risk reports and analyses to assist in management decision-making.

• You will enhance the efficiency of existing risk management processes, tools, and templates through automation.

• You will conduct risk workshops involving project teams, partners, and clients.

• You will integrate quantitative risk analyses (QRA) concerning costs and schedules into the project, aiding management in interpreting results and making informed choices.

• You will ensure a consistent approach and facilitate knowledge transfer across various projects.


⛳️ Requirements

• Experience with large, complex, and technically demanding projects (e.g., infrastructure, rail, road construction, oil & gas, or nuclear); experience in consulting firms or advisory settings is advantageous.

• Strong knowledge of quantitative cost and schedule risk analysis (QCSRA).

• Familiarity with industry-standard tools such as @Risk, Safran, ARM, or Xactium.

• Expertise in areas such as project management, statistics, economics, business administration, engineering (civil, mechanical, or electrical), or data analytics.

• Ability and willingness to engage thoroughly with intricate analytical challenges.

• Qualifications equivalent to PMI-RMP (Risk Management Professional) are a plus.

• Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, to facilitate analytical tasks.

• Willingness and ability to travel both nationally and internationally (approximately 30%).

• Fluent in written and spoken English; proficiency in German is a plus.
