Project & Program Manager IV

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• The Project & Program Management position involves the planning and coordination of all facets of large-scale Data Center constructions and retrofits, from inception to completion.

• Oversees the tasks performed by network engineers, data center technicians, and internal stakeholders/partners.

• Formulates detailed project plans and supervises all implementation processes including asset management, resource allocation, progress tracking, monitoring change control procedures, documentation, training, and ensuring timely delivery within budgetary limits.

• Manages various cross-functional and technical network deployment projects.

• Collaborates with functional teams throughout the initiation, planning, design, procurement, deployment, and post-deployment stages.

• Tasked with managing and tracking program milestones, timelines, and overall deliverables.

• Actively involved in creating and sustaining comprehensive project documentation, encompassing schedules, reviews, process documents, risk assessments, and more.

• Contributes to defining project scope and objectives, engaging all relevant stakeholders while ensuring technical feasibility.

• Utilizes metrics and KPIs to evaluate project performance with suitable tools and techniques, providing regular status updates.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from a four-year college or university, along with 2 to 5 years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 2 to 5 years of project management experience in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment, ideally supporting data centers or network hardware.

• More than 2 years of experience with data center lifecycles and/or extensive networks.

• Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, and documentation).

• Capability to handle multiple projects and assignments simultaneously.

• A self-motivated individual who can swiftly learn new tools and adapt to new processes and technologies with minimal guidance.

• Strong observational and analytical abilities, including the capacity to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate substantial amounts of information, keen attention to detail and accuracy, proficiency in tracking and reporting metrics, and risk management.
