This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mississippi.
• Full responsibility for personnel and budgetary decisions related to the operation of assigned EMS bases.
• Ensure the consistent operation of rotor-wing and fixed-wing bases (if applicable), including the availability of the necessary medical equipment and supplies for high-quality patient care.
• Accountable for maintaining a safe operational environment.
• Collaborate closely with the Legal Department, Human Resources, Risk Management, and Safety to effectively manage and mitigate risk and liability in all aspects of daily operations.
• Ensure compliance with all pilot training, refresher training, and FAA regulations for operations and maintenance as stipulated under FAR Part 135 regulations.
• Oversee personnel, budget, and training programs.
• Supervise all business and strategic planning, coordinate efforts, and market service lines (rotor-wing, fixed-wing, and long-range jet operations).
• Manage EMS public relations/outreach education, employee interactions with customers (both internal and external), as well as referring and receiving physicians.
• Oversee all contractual relationships with payers, state health departments, other governmental payers, and vendors.
• Stay informed on local, regional, state, and national legislation and regulations that affect air medical transport through active participation in relevant local, regional, state, and national organizations.
• Facilitate the flow of information to PHI both verbally and through regular written reports.
• Prepare and deliver marketing information to internal and external stakeholders.
• Train internal personnel for marketing presentations.
• Assist in the creation and approval of marketing collateral materials and giveaway items.
• Responsible for the overall management of a proactive marketing plan for the program utilizing both internal and external resources.
• Address requests from external customers (e.g., assist companies, managed care organizations, EMS-related agencies, physicians, etc.) by drafting suitable correspondence, selecting collateral materials, and preparing formal credential information.
• Respond to contract RFPs and deliver in-service sessions, marketing presentations, and more.
• Perform additional duties as required.
• College degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of five years of management experience, preferably in air medical EMS-related roles.
• Strong writing, speaking, and interpersonal communication skills are essential.
• Effective human relations skills are crucial, as this role involves close collaboration with physicians, national organizations, legislative representatives, and staff at all levels.
• Must be able to successfully pass a pre-placement drug test and background screening.
