This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Conduct thorough surveys and assessments of individuals and families to identify socio-economic challenges and formulate effective intervention plans aimed at improving their employability.

• Collaborate with community members, local organizations, and governmental bodies to design and execute programs that tackle significant socio-economic issues such as poverty, unemployment, housing, and healthcare accessibility.

• Offer counseling and support to individuals and families in need, helping them navigate available resources and services.

• Advocate for policy modifications at local and regional levels to foster socio-economic development and enhance the overall well-being of the community.

• Organize workshops, seminars, and training sessions to raise awareness about socio-economic issues and build community capacity.

• Research central, state, and local government schemes accessible to communities and leverage these resources.

• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of socio-economic programs, making necessary adjustments to guarantee positive outcomes—ensuring that program implementation leads to increased income generation for individuals in the identified communities.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, educators, healthcare professionals, and legal advisors, to deliver comprehensive support to clients.

• Stay updated on current research, trends, and best practices in socio-economic development and social work.

• Coordinate with livestock vendors, agriculture experts, and entrepreneurship development trainers to gain insights into programs that can be effectively implemented at project locations.

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with local residents, block and district officials, media representatives, and resource persons.

• Engage these stakeholders in various programs organized by the project.

• Conduct "Train the Trainer" programs regularly and provide hands-on training to local facilitators.

• Connect with Jan Shikshan Sansthan for available resources that could enhance our Adult Literacy initiatives.

• Initiate adult literacy training at project locations and monitor progress in a measurable format for reporting purposes.

• Prepare monthly and annual budgets and submit them to the Executive Director.

• Oversee project activities and coordinate with all team members to ensure workflow is maintained and responsible for project progress reports on a monthly, quarterly, and half-yearly basis.

• Facilitate efficient communication, resource flow, and inputs from the field to the head office to ensure smooth project activity implementation.

• Coordinate project visits for the Executive Director and assist donors in witnessing the progress and success of implemented programs.

• Compile Project Progress Reports and submit them to the Executive Director.

• Prepare and present data-driven and visual reports to the Executive Director on a monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, and yearly basis.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work or a related discipline.

• Relevant experience in social work, community development, or socio-economic projects.

• Strong understanding of socio-economic challenges and disparities.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.

• Basic computer proficiency, including MS Office.

• Strong networking and liaison skills.

• Familiarity with livelihood-related projects.

• Ability to collaborate effectively and build partnerships with diverse stakeholders.

• Empathy, patience, and cultural sensitivity when working with individuals from varied backgrounds.

• Strong team player with gender sensitivity.

• Proficiency in maintaining precise records and documentation.

• Willingness to travel extensively across the country.

• Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to social services and development.
