This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversees all phases of assigned projects (generally valued up to $1M) from the time of award until completion, which includes site management, budgeting, scheduling, and execution.
• Acts as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction, safety, and quality assurance throughout the entirety of the project lifecycle.
• Works collaboratively with local Convergint Project Managers, Customers, and Program Managers to align on project objectives and facilitate execution.
• Develops and manages installation plans for projects in coordination with local teams.
• Keeps precise records of job status, material flow, change orders, and other relevant documentation.
• Identifies risks associated with projects and implements strategies to mitigate them effectively.
• Collaborates with technical subject matter experts to produce essential project documentation, including runbooks and execution plans.
• Manages project finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
• Regularly updates stakeholders on project progress, schedules, and any changes.
• College degree, trade school, or equivalent experience.
• Associate's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in engineering, field service, or project management.
• Project Management Institute (PMI) certification; industry-specific certifications and/or licenses; must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving history.
• Experience in one or more of the following sectors: electronic, fire alarm & life safety, building automation, and/or AV systems.
• Skills in coaching, mentoring, and staff development; a strong orientation towards leadership.
• Proficient in team leadership, team building, and facilitation.
• Demonstrates initiative—actively engages in proactive behavior and seeks out opportunities.
• Adaptable—responds effectively to changes in situations or information.
• Strong analytical abilities essential for problem resolution and solution exploration.
• Financial analytical skills, including cost control.
• Basic capability to foster a collaborative working environment for customers and team members.
• Fundamental skills in Microsoft Outlook, Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of IT networking principles.
