This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Customer engagement: Engage in technical discussions with clients to gather requirements, clarify objectives, and define the scope of deliverables.
• Requirements translation: Transform client needs and operational goals into precise requirements, user stories, or technical specifications.
• Solution support: Collaborate with product and engineering teams to prototype, specify, and validate solutions; test and confirm feature behavior against requirements.
• Data analysis: Conduct basic-to-intermediate analyses of SSA datasets (such as TLEs, tracking data, covariance/position error, conjunction data) to assist customer inquiries and internal decision-making.
• Documentation: Create clear technical notes, runbooks, and customer-facing documentation that articulate solutions, assumptions, and recommended actions.
• Issue triage: Assist in triaging customer-reported issues, reproducing problems, and coordinating resolutions with engineering and operations.
• Operational support: Aid in preparing and delivering demonstrations, technical briefings, and ad-hoc analyses for clients and stakeholders. Support customer operational events that involve event analysis and manual Orbit Determination tasks.
• Continuous improvement: Capture recurring client needs and feedback to guide roadmap prioritization and product enhancements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Data Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent relevant experience).
• 3-5 years of professional experience in an engineering, analytics, or technical customer-facing role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; adept at translating between technical and non-technical audiences.
• Practical experience with data analysis tools (Python, SQL, large dataset tools like Databricks, or similar).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables under the direction of the Director of SSA Technical Solutions.
