This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of retail store construction and renovation initiatives.
• Manage several simultaneous projects across different markets, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to scope, and budget compliance.
• Supervise remodels, store upgrades, and facility maintenance tasks.
• Create and uphold project plans that encompass timelines, budgets, scope, and resource distribution.
• Work collaboratively with Real Estate, Store Operations, Merchandising, IT, Finance, Legal, HR, Marketing, Asset Protection, and additional teams.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, general contractors, construction suppliers, landlords, and other external collaborators.
• Generate cost estimates, submit capital project expenditures, and oversee budgets ranging from $5,000 to over $1 million.
• Track expenses against forecasts and offer insights on project spending.
• Identify opportunities for value engineering while upholding brand standards.
• Monitor vendor performance and guide them on standards and deliverables.
• Ensure quality control, manage permit approvals, inspections, and landlord coordination.
• Perform site visits to assess progress and compliance with specifications, codes, and company standards.
• Lead the coordination and execution planning for all phases of new store constructions.
• Develop and maintain critical path schedules while resolving delays and conflicts.
• Recognize risks and establish mitigation strategies.
• Provide regular updates on project status and financial consequences.
• Minimum of five years in retail management and/or five years of relevant project management experience.
• Demonstrated success in managing multiple simultaneous projects across various regions.
• Proficient in PC applications.
• In-depth understanding of construction techniques, permitting procedures, retail operations, and ADA/code compliance.
• Skilled in Microsoft Project, Excel, AutoCAD, or comparable construction/project management software.
• Must be willing to work overnight and travel 50% to new store locations.
• Project Management Certification or similar qualifications are preferred.
• Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from an accredited four-year institution, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Capable of writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural guidelines.
• Proficient in presenting information and addressing queries from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
• Able to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw sound conclusions.
