This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the technical and financial elements of the project.
• Collaborate with management to recruit, onboard, and lead a project team through training and development.
• Track project progress and serve as the firm's representative with clients.
• Create project proposals and cost estimates.
• Partner with MCA Business Development personnel and engage with both existing and prospective clients.
• Support Business Development and Marketing teams in producing technical content.
• Foster outstanding intercompany and client relations.
• Execute and revise the market sector business plan.
• Define project objectives by reviewing client documentation and collaborating with clients and management.
• Formulate a project plan, schedule, budget, and labor allocation.
• Assemble, coordinate, and lead project team members.
• Review and negotiate agreements with owners, clients, contractors, and consultants.
• Evaluate work products by assessing design, client requirements, and performance standards.
• Manage project budget and timeline by reviewing and approving expenses, invoicing and collections, analyzing discrepancies, initiating corrective actions or change orders as needed, and reporting outcomes to management.
• Gather, analyze, and summarize data to ensure project goals and deadlines are achieved.
• Organize project materials and maintain comprehensive project files.
• Ensure product quality and uphold the company's reputation.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the project team.
• Contribute to organizational growth by actively engaging in recruitment and onboarding processes.
• Encourage open communication and information sharing within the organization.
• Distribute workload fairly and efficiently among project team members.
• Address performance issues proactively, including the development of improvement plans in collaboration with HR.
• Offer mentorship and conduct semi-annual meetings with team members to evaluate performance and support career development.
• Work together to define short- and long-term goals, strategies, plans, and policies for team members and the department.
• Collaborate with other Project Managers and share resources as needed.
• Develop, comprehend, and adhere to performance objectives and financial metrics.
• Maintain professional and technical expertise through ongoing development and networking.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by senior management.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Ecology, Land Planning, Surveying, GIS, or a closely related field, along with an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Professional licensure (e.g., PE, PS, RLA, AICP, CPG, SR/WA) is highly preferred.
• At least eight (8) years of relevant experience is preferred.
• A minimum of two (2) years of project management experience, encompassing planning, statements of work, budgets, and scheduling is preferred.
• Basic knowledge or prior experience with AutoCAD and Civil3D; familiarity with MicroStation is a plus.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client and project sites as required.
• Understanding of local business conditions, target markets, and existing relationships.
• Familiarity with residential, commercial, and municipal land development projects.
• Experience with both traditional and renewable energy projects such as pipelines, wind, natural gas, etc.
• Background in proactive and reactive marketing and project management.
• Experience in managing and mentoring employees.
• Excellent focus and proofreading abilities with strong attention to detail.
• Outstanding written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills when interacting with teams, clients, technical topics, and sensitive client issues.
• Capability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams, clients, and stakeholders.
• Strong planning, organizational, preparatory, and execution skills to balance projects and meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, action-oriented, adaptable, creative, analytical, and a problem solver.
