Project Manager / Senior Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• The Project Manager oversees the planning, execution, and completion of research projects in alignment with the reasonable expectations of the project's originator.

• Responsible for all study management duties, including leading and coordinating cross-functional teams, managing client communications, overseeing financial aspects, and ensuring overall project delivery.

• Guarantee that studies are appropriately resourced, efficiently managed, meet project goals within designated budgets and timelines, and are conducted to the highest standards of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), regulatory guidelines, and relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

• Mentor and coach Junior Project Management staff or Clinical Delivery Leads, aiding in their technical development.

• Manage independently or with assistance from Portfolio Delivery Leads or the Line Manager.

• Foster effective professional relationships with external clients, investigators, and vendors.

• Provide clear direction to the project team regarding project-specific deliverables.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a science or related discipline.

• Prior experience working on clinical projects within an academic institution, Contract Research Organization (CRO), or pharmaceutical company setting.

• Approximately seven (7) years of industry experience is recommended for this role, including a minimum of 2-3 years in Project Management.

• Prior experience as a Clinical Research Associate (CRA) or in site management, trial coordination, or relevant industry roles is preferred.

• Experience managing projects across various regions, therapeutic indications, full-service studies, and early-phase clinical trials.

• Strong understanding of and ability to implement project activities in compliance with ICH/GCP and all applicable regulations and guidelines in relevant regions.

• Previous experience with client-facing interactions and/or client management.

• Experience in project finance management.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, presentation abilities, and team leadership skills, including the capacity to lead virtual teams in a multicultural environment and handle conflicts effectively.

• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), including strong presentation capabilities.
