This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
β’ Stakeholder Management: Establishes and maintains a strong presence with all project stakeholders, serving as a CDW steward for quality. Committed to meeting or surpassing stakeholder expectations by identifying success criteria and ensuring participation in key decisions.
β’ Negotiation Skills: Acknowledges the necessity for negotiations, collects relevant information, and seeks guidance from sales and management when required. Effectively negotiates minor adjustments (cost, scope, effort, schedule solution, resource commitment, etc.) to reach satisfactory outcomes. Skilled in negotiating changes to enhance stakeholder satisfaction and project results.
β’ Problem Solving & Decision Making: Collaborates with team members to gather insights and evaluate potential impacts on the project, documenting mitigation strategies employed during troubleshooting and communicating these to the team and client.
β’ Project Management: Independently manages projects following CDW's methodology. Ensures profitability, oversees budgets, tracks time and expenses, and promptly approves invoices. Validates scope and estimates, manages change orders, and delivers all Statement of Work items with a focus on quality assurance. Identifies and mitigates risks, adjusts schedules and tasks as necessary, and optimizes resource allocation. Monitors and resolves project issues, handles procurement and delivery, and documents outcomes and lessons learned.
β’ Leadership: Takes responsibility for project outcomes, manages finances for clients and CDW, and holds the team accountable. Builds trust with stakeholders through strong relationships and expertise. Effectively resolves conflicts and consistently meets project success criteria. Ensures tasks are completed accurately and on schedule. Remains updated on industry best practices and shares insights with the project management team.
β’ Communication: Determines suitable documentation (communication plans, schedules/timelines, status reports, quality plans, closure summaries, budgets, risk plans, etc.) for projects. Oversees the quality and delivery of documentation to clients.
β’ Bachelorβs Degree in Business or a computer-related field, or equivalent experience.
β’ Three years of experience in delivering quality Infrastructure, Project Management, or three years of CDW Services experience.
β’ Two or more years of experience leading significant projects within a single Advanced Technology solution area.
β’ Proven ability to take accountability for projects and their outcomes, demonstrate fiscal responsibility, and lead teams to meet project success factors.
β’ Working knowledge of one or more formal project management methodologies and proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Project/Office.
β’ Ability to leverage business acumen, political savvy, relevant personal and CDW experience, perseverance, and communication skills to build credibility.
β’ Exceptional written, presentation, and verbal communication skills, including demonstrated experience presenting technology recommendations from a business perspective.
β’ Exercises discretion when managing sensitive or confidential information.
β’ Capacity to balance multiple priorities simultaneously and adapt to the evolving needs of the business while meeting deadlines.
β’ Willingness to work weekends and/or off-hours as necessary to fulfill client needs.
β’ Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% or as required to other CDW locations, meetings, and client sites.
β’ Quarterly bonus target of 10% subject to the terms and conditions of the plan.
