Project Manager – Pulp, Power & Recovery Capital Projects

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Effectively oversee several capital projects ranging from $10MM to $50MM throughout their entire lifecycle (P0–P6).

• Create and sustain comprehensive project plans that encompass scope, timeline, budget, and risk management.

• Lead interdisciplinary teams that include engineering, maintenance, operations, finance, safety, and construction.

• Promote alignment among internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring all parties are on the same page regarding project requirements, scope, and deliverables.

• Drive the development of Front-End Loading (FEL) and ensure readiness for execution (P0-P3).

• Ensure synchronization with mill and business leadership.

• Facilitate project evaluations, status updates, executive briefings, and communications with stakeholders.

• Supervise detailed design, contractor coordination, outage execution, and startup activities (P4-P6).

• Guarantee compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

• Manage and oversee changes to objectives and scope.

• Deliver projects that fulfill business case and performance expectations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management or Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or a related field).

• Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in project management.

• Proven experience in managing multi-million-dollar projects.

• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional engineering and construction teams.

• Familiarity with project management methodologies within a phase gate process.

• Willingness to travel at least 80% to facilitate project development, execution, outages, startups, and engagement with the mill.
