This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Offer expert advice on technical and operational strategies for intricate scientific and public health initiatives, including evidence review processes, research methodologies, data management tactics, meeting schedules, and stakeholder communications, ensuring compliance with USPSTF standards and transparency mandates.
• Create and oversee comprehensive project plans for multiple simultaneous initiatives; manage scope, schedule, and budget control; lead financial planning and pricing efforts; and track fiscal performance to ensure effective, high-quality program execution.
• Guarantee technical precision, methodological integrity, and quality of outputs through established review processes while adhering to internal policies, federal regulations, and contractual obligations; contribute to the formulation of operational procedures and governance structures.
• Supervise data collection, analysis, synthesis, and reporting tasks to facilitate evidence-based decision-making, align results with strategic objectives, and support clear, actionable communication of outcomes.
• Create and present strategic communications, presentations, and proposal documents; cultivate relationships with federal clients, Task Force members, researchers, and partners; and enhance program visibility and engagement with stakeholders and the broader public.
• Lead and support a multidisciplinary team by managing workloads, prioritizing tasks, setting deadlines, resolving conflicts, and spearheading hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management initiatives to enhance team capabilities and effectiveness.
• Direct the identification and execution of workflow, process, and efficiency enhancements; observe public health and scientific trends to guide innovation; manage partnerships with vendors and collaborators; and contribute to business development and proposal initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in public health, health policy, health sciences, epidemiology, or a related discipline
• A minimum of 12 years of relevant professional experience (additional education may substitute for experience)
• At least four (4) years of project management experience supporting complex scientific or public health initiatives
• A minimum of two (2) years of supervisory or people-management experience
• Demonstrated experience in leading complex scientific or public health projects in regulated or federally funded settings
• Strong understanding of evidence-based public health or clinical research methodologies
• Proven capability to manage schedules, budgets, and multidisciplinary teams across multiple concurrent projects
• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement abilities
• Strong problem-solving skills with the capacity to operate independently and make authoritative decisions
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office productivity software and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint
• High attention to detail and a proven ability to follow instructions effectively.
