This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide strategic leadership and management across multiple projects.
• Oversee medium-to-large engineering projects from initiation to close-out within the Power Lifeline Sector.
• Manage all elements of project execution, encompassing scope, stakeholder engagement, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.
• Facilitate both internal and external project meetings, including progress assessments and problem-solving discussions.
• Create and enforce project plans, integrating risk management and mitigation strategies.
• Ensure that all project deliverables align with quality standards and fulfill client expectations.
• Guarantee resource availability or actively seek adequate resources to support project needs.
• Proficient in problem analysis, identifying alternative solutions, understanding project implications of proposed actions, and implementing recommendations to meet project scope, schedule, and budget objectives.
• Serve as the primary project representative for clients, providing consistent updates on project status and addressing any concerns.
• Lead a collaborative project team to ensure that all key functional project disciplines are aligned with the planned project scope, schedule, and costs.
• Guide overall project efforts through coaching, conflict resolution, facilitation, motivation, and negotiation.
• Establish and sustain effective working relationships with individuals encountered during the course of work.
• Collaborate closely with the Project Management Team to ensure project schedules and budgets are effectively managed and monitored.
• Maintain a customer-centric approach to meet or exceed client expectations, representing Ulteig in a professional and courteous manner.
• Track project progress and implement corrective measures to keep projects on schedule, while ensuring the project plan remains current.
• Oversee and control project budgets to avoid overspending.
• Monitor all financial transactions associated with the project.
• Manage and control project costs effectively.
• Assess ongoing project health and monitor key metrics.
• Adhere to Ulteig governance policies and procedures to ensure project success.
• Exhibit strong leadership, verbal and written communication skills, time management, interpersonal capabilities, and organizational skills.
• Achieve results through effective problem-solving, prioritization, and organization.
• Work with engineering teams to ensure the technical aspects of the project are managed appropriately.
• Ensure that best practices are effectively communicated and implemented across projects and teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of direct project management experience, including at least 3 years in an engineering setting, with a preference for power industry experience.
• Technical engineering expertise, with the ability to comprehend and coordinate solutions for complex engineering challenges is required.
• PE, PMP, CCM, or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Planview Adaptive Work), along with intermediate knowledge and experience in scheduling and cost planning.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (Finance & Operations) is preferred.
