This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Oversee the planning, design, and construction of capital projects, which includes both new buildings and renovations at relevant enterprise locations.
• Manage and supervise external contractors and internal maintenance personnel during construction and renovation processes.
• Create, sustain, and take responsibility for project scope, timeline, and budget that aligns with client requirements and organizational objectives.
• Assist in the preparation and administration of contracts for architectural and engineering consultants.
• Supervise design activities through to construction administration.
• Direct the bidding, awarding, and execution phases of construction projects.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on time, within budget, and in accordance with relevant codes and standards.
• Manage telecommunications/data coordination and relocation services.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies throughout the entire project lifecycle.
• Bachelor’s Degree in construction management, architecture, or engineering discipline.
• A minimum of 5 years of directly relevant experience in capital project management within healthcare or higher education.
• Solid understanding of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems in healthcare, laboratory, and medical office settings.
• Knowledge of current industry trends and emerging technologies in MEP design.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit for basic tasks and file handling.
• Proficient in project management software including eBuilder, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Project.
• Understanding of building codes applicable to healthcare and research facilities.
• Awareness of regulatory bodies such as the State Department of Health, City of Philadelphia, New Jersey Department of Health, and The Joint Commission.
• Capability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
• Frequent sitting/standing and use of a keyboard is required.
• Preferred qualifications include engineering, architectural, construction management, facilities management, or related certificates, licenses, and registrations.
