Project Manager, Nurse Practitioner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the daily operations of grant-funded projects aimed at improving the quality of care and accessibility of behavioral and primary care services.

• Supervise clinic operations across various locations in Los Angeles and San Diego.

• Oversee the management of the Practice Fusion electronic health record system and track remote telemetric patient biometric data.

• Provide both administrative and clinical support to advanced practice nurses, MSW students, and community health administrative personnel.

• Lead grant-related activities in collaboration with both internal and external partners.

• Aid in the development of outcome reporting systems, federal grant communications, budgets, and project responsibilities.

• Co-author publications and reports concerning clinic outcomes.

• Gather data for the federal Uniform Data System and foster community relationships to enhance clinic services.

• Ensure the fulfillment of grant-funded initiatives and the timely submission of quarterly and final reports.

• Oversee outcomes assessment and work with the project evaluator on data collection and reporting.

• Directly supervise nurse practitioners and community health coordinators.

• Administer vendor contracts, payments, and contracted services.

• Handle daily clinic operations, address patient concerns, manage clinic flow, scheduling, and provider calendars.

• Develop and implement clinic policies, procedures, operational systems, and enhancements to workflow.

• Support billing and credentialing processes.

• Maintain clinical evaluation tools and ensure compliance with licensing and scope-of-practice mandates.

• Communicate effectively with staff, providers, patients, and external stakeholders.

• Engage in community outreach, health fairs, and public events.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned by project leadership.


⛳️ Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing is required.

• A current and unencumbered Advanced Practice Registered Nurse certification and Registered Nurse licensure are required.

• Active California furnishing number, National Provider Identifier, and DEA registration number are required.

• Current national and state board certification as a Nurse Practitioner from an accredited organization is required.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare management and leadership is required.

• A doctoral degree in healthcare or a related field is preferred.

• At least 5 years of experience in higher education student success programming, grants management, or related work with Hispanic adult learners is preferred.

• Experience in coordinating or managing federal grant programs is preferred.

• A background working with communities of color or underserved populations is preferred.

• Evidence of prior nurse faculty experience is preferred.

• Strong abilities in collaboration, leadership, accountability, relationship-building, and goal-setting.

• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to engage with diverse communities and multicultural teams in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environments.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking capabilities.

• Familiarity with office policies, procedures, and systems in higher education or healthcare is preferred.

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher, and SharePoint.

• Proficiency in Adobe, Practice Fusion, and PeopleSoft/Student Information Systems such as SOAR.

• Skilled in data entry and completing online reporting forms for local, state, federal, and private grants.

• Willingness and ability to travel up to 75%.
