Project Manager, Informatics – Communications Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Act as the Communications Lead: strategize, coordinate, and oversee the communications workstream, including its scope, schedule, resources, and deliverables.

• Oversee IT/informatics project initiatives using established life cycle and project management methodologies; monitor costs, schedules, and performance progress.

• Recognize and address risks associated with communications and change-support activities; escalate issues along with proposed solutions.

• Supervise and review the work of communications and technical writing personnel for quality assurance.

• Collaborate across departments with change management, training, and informatics teams to ensure messaging aligns with workflow and system alterations.

• Implement SAFe Lean-Agile principles and practices to enhance value and maintain organizational change and operational excellence through high-performing Agile teams.

• Compile project-level contributions for weekly task reports, bi-monthly budget trackers, and monthly progress updates.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree is required.

• At least 10 years of experience in managing Information Technology-related projects.

• Familiarity with life cycle and project management methodologies, including the ability to track costs, schedules, and performance.

• Proven experience and comprehension of SAFe Lean-Agile principles and practices.

• Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language.

• Capability to obtain and maintain a favorable VA background investigation at the Low Risk / NACI level, which includes electronic fingerprinting and e-QIP submission.

• Willingness to occasionally travel within the continental United States to VA Medical Centers (approximately 5-day site visits) to support EHR Go-Live and Post Go-Live activities as approved by the Government.
