This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Supervise rail construction and maintenance projects while collaborating with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to guarantee safe and efficient project execution.

• Accountable for workforce planning, project scheduling, inventory oversight, pricing assistance, operational performance, and fostering robust customer relationships.

• Inspect railroad tracks to detect deficiencies and create project proposals along with pricing recommendations.

• Review and interpret requests for proposals (RFPs) and formulate professional responses for customers.

• Manage project operations to ensure customer needs and project goals are fulfilled.

• Coordinate teams, equipment, materials, and vendors across various job sites.

• Ensure that all tasks are executed safely and in accordance with company policies and regulations.

• Sustain strong customer relationships by providing exceptional service and operational assistance.

• Conduct inspections of crews, tools, vehicles, and equipment.

• Assist with pricing analysis, budgeting, cost monitoring, and operational forecasting.

• Track payroll, fuel, equipment, and project expenses to maintain operational efficiency.

• Manage inventory, purchase orders, and material deliveries to work sites.

• Coordinate preventive maintenance initiatives with mechanical teams.

• Aid in workforce planning and crew scheduling to guarantee balanced skill coverage.

• Complete administrative tasks including billing, audits, evaluations, and project reporting.

• Guide and support field crews to ensure timely and safe project completion.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• A college degree in Building and Construction Technology or equivalent construction management experience is preferred.

• Experience in railroad construction, maintenance, or industrial operations is desirable.

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical documents, and safety protocols.

• Experience in preparing proposals, reports, and customer communications.

• Solid understanding of budgeting, cost management, and project coordination.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is required.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.

• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

• Ability to lift and move equipment as necessary.

• Willingness to travel as required.
