Project Manager – Early Development Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Act as the main liaison between the sponsor and the organization at the project level.

• Ensure that escalation protocols are followed both internally and externally (Rules of Engagement – communication pathways).

• In projects where the scope necessitates, ensure a clear distinction in responsibilities and communication pathways for secondary project leads (such as leads in specific regions, leads for particular vendors, or subsets of delivery).

• Responsible for the overall success of the cross-functional project (time, cost, quality).

• Demonstrate financial stewardship at the project level by showing a comprehensive understanding of the contract, aligning resources to the budget, managing Out of Scope activities, driving the Con Mod process/negotiations, and ensuring team adherence to timelines.

• Establish, communicate, and manage customer expectations to ensure optimal project delivery.

• Facilitate Risk Identification and Issue Resolution at the project level (RBQM/RESOLVE).

• Ensure that the project team complies with organizational policies, SOPs, ICH-GCP, regulatory, and project-specific requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification.

• A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience.

• Previous experience that equips the individual with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the role (equivalent to 8+ years).

• Technical and systems competency, including proficiency in systems and applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as organizational systems (CTMS, Preclarus, Clarity).

• Ability to delegate effectively and prioritize personal and project team members' workloads in a dynamic environment.

• Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.

• Proactive, solution-oriented, and adaptable to shifting priorities and circumstances.

• Advanced knowledge of therapeutic areas and clinical development guidelines and directives.

• Strong understanding of the fundamental principles of project management (time, quality, cost), along with solid financial acumen.

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and coordinate cross-functional project teams.

• Good judgment and decision-making capabilities, able to apply critical and analytical strategic thinking skills to navigate complex or ambiguous situations.

• Proficient in negotiation, persuasion, and influencing others, with cross-cultural awareness.
