
Project Manager β Disaster Recovery, Housing and Community Development Training & Technical Assistance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
β’ Overseeing the operations of both large and small training and technical assistance (TTA) initiatives to offer guidance to states, territories, cities, counties, and other organizations receiving Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funding.
β’ Leading cross-functional teams composed of trainers, subject matter experts, and technical contributors, including strategizing to achieve TA objectives and enhance the capabilities of TA recipients.
β’ Acting as the main point of contact with TA recipients and ensuring effective communication with HUD.
β’ Coordinating the delivery of training sessions focused on regulatory and grant-specific requirements.
β’ Utilizing expertise in housing, infrastructure, public services, and economic revitalization to advise TA recipients on the design and execution of their recovery and resilience initiatives.
β’ Supervising the development of product work plans.
β’ A Bachelorβs degree in Public Policy, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Urban Planning, Public Administration, or a related field.
β’ At least 8 years of experience working directly with CDBG-DR programs.
β’ A minimum of 2 years of project management and personnel management experience, with a proven track record of developing and implementing project/team processes.
β’ Demonstrated understanding of the implementation of housing, community and economic development, and disaster recovery programs at the state and/or local levels.
