This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Thailand.
• Oversee comprehensive data center projects from the design stage to commissioning, guaranteeing the delivery of mission-critical infrastructure with uptime requirements exceeding 99.99%.
• Coordinate intricate MEP systems, including redundant power distribution, precision cooling solutions, fire suppression systems, and structured cabling infrastructure.
• Collaborate with data center operators, IT teams, facility managers, utility providers, and regulatory bodies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Supervise the installation and testing of UPS systems, backup generators, switchgear, PDUs, CRAC units, and environmental monitoring systems.
• Direct extensive commissioning activities, encompassing integrated systems testing, load testing, and validation of failover procedures.
• Create and sustain accelerated project schedules while managing the procurement of long-lead equipment and phased occupancy needs.
• Enforce stringent quality control measures for critical infrastructure, including vibration control, EMI/RFI mitigation, and precision installation tolerances.
• Recognize and address risks specific to data center operations, such as power reliability, cooling redundancy, and security requirements.
• Manage project budgets typically ranging from $50M to over $500M, focusing on critical equipment procurement and specialty systems.
• Ensure adherence to data center standards (TIA-942, Uptime Institute Tier classifications), building codes, and local utility regulations.
• Oversee specialized data center equipment vendors, technology integrators, and suppliers of mission-critical systems.
• Monitor comprehensive testing, including power quality analysis, thermal mapping, airflow validation, and disaster recovery simulations.
• Manage scope changes while maintaining critical path schedules to minimize impact on operational systems.
• Keep detailed as-built documentation, O&M manuals, warranty information, and compliance certificates.
• At least 5+ years of experience in managing data center construction, renovation, or critical infrastructure projects.
• Profound understanding of data center power and cooling systems, redundancy concepts, and Tier I-IV classifications.
• Experience in managing large-scale projects ($50M+) with complex technical requirements and expedited schedules.
• Proven track record in coordinating multiple critical systems and specialty contractors within mission-critical environments.
• Practical experience with data center commissioning, testing procedures, and performance validation.
• Familiarity with TIA-942, BICSI, ASHRAE, and Uptime Institute standards and best practices.
