This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and oversee comprehensive project plans for flower and pre-roll initiatives, encompassing new products, strain rotations, pack and bud size modifications, line extensions, and phase-outs.
• Facilitate collaboration and deliverables among cultivation, post-harvest, R&D, manufacturing, procurement, quality, regulatory, supply chain, wholesale, and retail teams.
• Monitor category-specific risks such as biomass availability, third-party procurement, potency, flavor profiles, packaging lead times, compliance reviews, and state-specific labeling requirements.
• Assist in launch readiness by validating timelines, inventory, training materials, sell-in assets, and retail execution requirements.
• Keep detailed records of decisions, approvals, dependencies, scope changes, delays, and other significant project milestones.
• Update the Director of Portfolio Operations and key stakeholders on progress, obstacles, and mitigation strategies.
• Ensure executional readiness and milestone achievement for flower and pre-roll projects, maintaining accurate timelines, trackers, launch checklists, and handoffs.
• Foster effective communication across teams, promptly escalate issues, and document changes in scope, root cause, ownership, and mitigation plans.
• Propel timely launches and implementation of changes by minimizing delays resulting from missing inputs, late approvals, poor coordination, or unclear processes.
• Enhance issue resolution, handoff quality, project transparency, and stakeholder confidence through diligent follow-up and cross-functional collaboration.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred; relevant experience in category management, project management, commercialization, or operations may be considered.
• 4-7 years of experience in category management, project management, product commercialization, operations, or cross-functional program execution, ideally within cannabis, CPG, retail, agriculture, or another regulated industry.
• Proven ability to manage intricate projects from inception to launch, including timelines, milestones, dependencies, risks, approvals, and post-launch follow-up.
• Strong cross-functional leadership capabilities with the aptitude to coordinate inputs, foster accountability, and ensure alignment across cultivation, operations, commercial, retail, compliance, and supply chain partners.
• Experience in supporting product launches, assortment modifications, packaging updates, inventory preparedness, or go-to-market execution across various markets or business units.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the capacity to maintain precise trackers, project plans, launch checklists, and decision documentation.
• Ability to identify risks, appropriately escalate issues, propose mitigation strategies, and keep projects progressing despite competing priorities or evolving requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to summarize project status, obstacles, decisions, and next steps for leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities, tight deadlines, and a high level of ambiguity.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools; experience with project management platforms, reporting tools, ERP systems, or inventory/category planning systems is preferred.
