This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Oversee a portfolio of partnership initiatives, ensuring achievement of set objectives, budgets, timelines, and quality benchmarks.
• Create project plans, track progress, assess risks, and adjust strategies as contexts and priorities evolve.
• Maintain robust, trusted relationships with partners, serving as their primary daily contact.
• Facilitate collaborative planning, problem-solving, and decision-making with partners to enhance impact and sustainability.
• Ensure project alignment with organizational priorities and donor commitments.
• Lead project monitoring and reporting efforts, tracking progress and impact.
• Develop and enhance monitoring, evaluation, and learning methodologies, frameworks, and tools.
• Analyze project outcomes and insights to guide decision-making, adaptive management, and future program design.
• Coordinate partner and consultant contributions to monitoring, reporting, and learning initiatives.
• Support donor relationships and address information requests.
• Oversee donor reporting and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
• Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and forecasts in collaboration with finance colleagues and partners.
• Review financial and narrative reports, addressing any issues or risks that arise.
• Manage a roster of technical consultants and specialists.
• Define, commission, and supervise consultancy assignments to guarantee quality and value for money.
• Align consultant contributions with partner work plans and project objectives.
• Contribute to systems, processes, and tools that support effective program delivery.
• Collaborate across teams to enhance organizational learning, efficiency, and impact.
• A minimum of five years' experience in managing complex projects or programs within the non-profit, international development, human rights, humanitarian, or related fields.
• Proven experience in managing institutional donor-funded projects and grants from inception to completion, including reporting and close-out.
• Demonstrated experience in managing project budgets and financial reporting.
• Proven ability to build and manage effective partnerships with a variety of stakeholders.
• Experience in managing partnerships remotely, particularly in complex, high-risk, or rapidly changing scenarios.
• Proficiency in coordinating consultants, technical specialists, or external service providers.
• Experience in developing or applying monitoring, evaluation, and learning strategies.
• Strong skills in project and program management, including planning, risk management, and delivery oversight.
• Exceptional relationship management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Advanced financial management and budget monitoring capabilities.
• Ability to create practical systems and processes where none currently exist.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written communication skills, including report writing and donor engagement.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently within a remote, globally distributed team.
• Adaptable and proactive, comfortable with shifting priorities, ambiguity, and changing circumstances.
• Collaborative and solutions-oriented, with a high level of personal accountability.
• Culturally aware and capable of working effectively across diverse contexts.
• Strong judgement and discretion in handling sensitive information.
• Experience working with civil society, community-based, or grassroots organizations.
• Experience managing projects in conflict-affected, politically sensitive, or fragile environments.
• Experience overseeing multi-country programs or partnership portfolios.
• Knowledge of subgrant management.
• Experience in facilitating organizational learning and adaptive programming.
• Familiarity with safeguarding, duty of care, and risk management principles.
• Understanding of participatory, qualitative, or outcome-focused MEL methodologies.
• Knowledge of equitable partnership and localization strategies.
• Possession of a recognized project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent).
• Relevant additional language proficiency.
