Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee project preconstruction activities, including managing EPC bids and supervising engineering design.

• Accountable for delivering the project within budget, on schedule, and meeting quality standards, while fostering strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and vendors.

• Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and various stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

• Manage project resources effectively and assign tasks to team members.

• Conduct regular project meetings to identify and mitigate any issues or risks.

• Supervise engineering and procurement teams to guarantee the timely delivery of equipment and materials.

• Review and take responsibility for critical path project schedules for construction, ensuring alignment with company and financing requirements.

• Develop comprehensive project budgets, manage cash flow, analyze cost versus benefits, and ensure alignment with financial goals outlined in the Stage Gate approval process.

• Generate project-level reporting deliverables at specified intervals as determined by management.

• Assist in negotiating EPC contract amounts and terms.

• Oversee the installation and commissioning of solar systems by turn-key EPC, ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.

• Provide project status updates, milestones, and key deliverables to internal teams, management, and financing partners.

• Manage utility interconnection processes following the execution of the Interconnection Agreement to meet project requirements.

• Coordinate with financing parties, including independent or third-party engineering needs and deliverables.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related STEM field. An advanced degree or professional certification in project management is preferred (demonstrable experience in relevant industries may be considered).

• Proven experience in achieving successful outcomes in renewable energy project construction.

• In-depth knowledge of the solar industry.

• Experience with solar electrical equipment engineering and/or electrical engineering.

• Familiarity with solar racking design and the engineering process (including geotechnical studies, pile load testing, etc.).

• Field experience is preferred.

• Knowledge of utility interconnection processes and testing requirements.

• Proficient in MS Project or other Critical Path Scheduling Tools.

• Certifications such as PMP, PE, NABCEP, OSHA 10 (or 30) are desirable.
