This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Establish and cultivate new partnerships with vendors and contractors involved in the construction of EV, solar, and energy storage initiatives.
• Conduct thorough requests for proposals (RFPs) with selected vendors and contractors to secure high-quality collaborators at competitive prices.
• Guide both internal and external engineering teams in optimizing construction layouts and addressing technical challenges as necessary.
• Negotiate contracts related to engineering, procurement, and construction with material suppliers, contractors, and project collaborators.
• Oversee contractors and vendors throughout the construction process to ensure the project reaches commercial operation on schedule and within budget.
• Assist in providing necessary information to investors to secure project financing and keep other stakeholders updated via project management and Salesforce platforms.
• Aid in the establishment of project-specific budgets and corporate metrics related to construction, while managing progress toward those objectives.
• Support the Project Development and Project Finance teams in crafting construction cost estimates and conducting constructability reviews for preliminary designs, interconnection applications, and other project facets.
• Travel as required for preconstruction site assessments, monitoring construction progress, attending conferences, and participating in company events.
• Collect market intelligence and continually strive to be an industry thought leader, applying insights to enhance RP’s systems and processes.
• Organize and coordinate multiple projects and initiatives with team members efficiently.
• Over 6 years of experience in power plant, solar, or real estate development, ideally with a blend of solar project development and financing.
• Strong background in civil and electrical construction.
• Proven track record of successfully negotiating deals.
• Advanced understanding and ability to navigate the environmental and utility regulatory landscape.
• Experience in managing development and construction budgets and timelines.
• Ability to develop new processes to enhance workflow within the organization.
• Strong attention to detail, a solid work ethic, personal accountability, ownership of work products, and excellent organizational skills.
• Exceptional business development skills along with outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
• A strong team player who is comfortable leading and collaborating with small, diverse teams to successfully develop and execute projects.
• Willingness to embrace new challenges with the mindset that they are opportunities for learning and growth.
• Proficient analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to address time-sensitive issues accurately.

• A Master’s degree in energy, real estate, engineering, or a business-related field is a plus.
