Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete project portfolio of the Institute, including scheduling, scope, deliverables, and performance metrics.

• Draft and submit technical proposals in response to funding calls and opportunities.

• Supervise field implementation through visits to cooperatives and hubs.

• Establish and nurture relationships with funders, cooperatives, public authorities, and institutional partners.

• Communicate with Polen's clients who provide funding for the projects.

• Develop and coordinate the actions required by regulatory bodies for the communication and environmental education plan.

• Create technical and financial accountability reports for funders and environmental agencies.

• Represent the Institute at various events, hub inaugurations, and sector-related forums.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in project management, ideally within socio-environmental projects or the nonprofit sector.

• A genuine passion for the recycling value chain and the realities faced by waste pickers.

• Excellent institutional communication abilities, both with cooperatives and large corporations.

• Willingness to travel as needed.

• Experience in preparing technical proposals and/or fundraising efforts.

• Knowledge of environmental regulatory frameworks, including Brazil's National Solid Waste Policy (PNRS) and reverse logistics.

• Background in communication and environmental education fields.
