This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in China.
• Take ownership of the sponsor relationship and oversee communication with sponsors.
• Act as the primary point of contact and escalation for functional teams.
• Provide updates on project progress, risks, and solutions to both sponsors and internal teams.
• Facilitate regular meetings with sponsors and project teams.
• Review pre-award documentation and participate in strategy, Bid Defense, and handover meetings.
• Formulate project management strategies.
• Oversee study start-up activities and implement best practices.
• Direct site selection strategies and assess project contracts and budgets.
• Establish project teams and systems.
• Manage the IRB/EC and RA approval processes.
• Lead internal and sponsor kick-off meetings.
• Guide projects to completion within budget and on schedule.
• Ensure compliance with contract specifications and maintain project tracking using CTMS.
• Monitor study timelines, recruitment, retention, and data cleaning efforts.
• Prepare for audits and regulatory inspections.
• Manage project budgets effectively.
• Supervise administrative closeout processes and archive project documentation.
• Conduct end-of-study meetings and document lessons learned.
• Identify project risks and develop contingency plans.
• Mitigate risks while keeping clients informed throughout the study lifecycle.
• Contribute to the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Provide oversight and training to Associate Project Managers and Project Assistants.
• Minimum of 3 years of Project Management experience with Parexel or 3 to 5 years in related fields.
• Experience as a Functional Team Leader or in coordinating clinical trials.
• Familiarity with ICH-GCP and regulations within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Bachelor's degree in a science-related field or equivalent work experience.
• An advanced degree is preferred.
• Additional business degree or PMP certification is advantageous.
• A background in science, medicine, or pharmacology is a plus.
• Strong leadership skills to manage virtual teams across various locations and cultures.
