This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• The Project Manager contributes to OCHIN's mission by leading various assigned projects, which may include EHR implementations, third-party vendor integrations, Epic enhancements, or internal technical initiatives.
• Project Managers are responsible for scoping, planning, overseeing, tracking progress, identifying and developing risk mitigation strategies, and ultimately ensuring the success of all projects they manage.
• The Project Manager acts as the primary contact for member management during any member-centric project.
• Their focus is on ensuring member satisfaction throughout the installation process, which may involve on-site travel for key events, and they are tasked with nurturing strong relationships that foster foundational trust in the OCHIN partnership.
• A successful Project Manager is organized, detail-oriented, an effective communicator, capable of building robust relationships across teams, trusted by members, and able to influence others without direct authority.
• This role involves regular updates and consultations with upper management to guarantee that projects stay on track, KPIs are achieved, and risks are well understood and addressed.
• The Senior Project Manager is recognized for their proven ability to manage complex projects or multiple projects simultaneously.
• They are entrusted with handling escalations and are regarded as a leader within the operational department.
• Senior Project Managers are expected to mentor and coach less experienced staff in various professional aspects such as leadership, methodology, and tools, and may be called upon to assist with complex projects or those requiring intervention.
• Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Business, Healthcare, or Health Informatics) or a combination of college education and 5-7 years of relevant experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in managing or coordinating complex projects, ideally within a healthcare and/or IT environment, with a minimum of 2,000 hours spent leading and managing projects.
• Demonstrated success in internal and external communication along with relationship management across all levels, from administrative staff to executives.
• Technical proficiency to fully comprehend and acquire the necessary system knowledge to effectively collaborate with members and team members on any assigned projects.
• Familiarity with Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, or similar systems is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
• For this fully remote position, the ideal candidate will have experience in working with entirely remote project teams and successfully guiding projects to completion.
• Strong potential for self-direction and self-management, with the ability to work independently and effectively as both a sole contributor and a team member.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is required.
• Certification in agile, scrum, waterfall, lean, or other methodologies is preferred.
• PMP/CAPM certification, or equivalent experience in leading EHR implementations, is preferred.
