Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Manage all facets of project execution, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to completion.

• Responsible for supervising and executing project management functions concerning cost, quality, and schedule.

• Serve as the primary individual accountable for assigned projects, maintaining direct oversight of all project management activities.

• Cultivate a robust long-term relationship with clients by managing expectations, communications, and satisfaction levels.

• Lead the implementation of physical security systems by overseeing execution, coordinating teams, and ensuring adherence to specifications, timelines, and quality benchmarks.

• Exhibit proficiency in the delivery and integration of physical security technologies, including closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems.

• Have a comprehensive understanding of general construction sequencing and its implications on project scheduling, risk management, and potential delays.

• Collaborate during design reviews to support accurate and thorough field documentation across project teams.

• Responsible for coordinating field verification of potential work sites, ensuring compliance with quality control standards.

• Monitor and manage the financial health of projects, including budget tracking, cost management, and margin analysis.

• Identify potential client concerns and proactively address them before they escalate into significant issues.

• Provide adaptable, on-demand support to team members to ensure project success and enhance team efficiency.

• Collaborate with the site supervisor to establish and implement the project’s work plan and schedule.

• Coordinate stakeholder activities to facilitate system programming and final system checkout.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

• Over 5 years of Project Management experience in commercial construction trades or experience with Electronic Security Systems (ESS).

• Proven track record of adhering to repeatable processes and engaging in Constant Process Improvement (CPI) to refine workflows and best practices.

• Experience in driving and delivering waterfall schedules to a fixed deadline while overseeing projects to ensure adherence to quality standards and profitability.

• Background in a client-facing role, demonstrating a pleasant and professional demeanor.

• Strong technical skills with the ability to quickly grasp new technologies.

• Experience working with or for enterprise-level clients.

• Understanding of when and how to apply Agile methodologies within a waterfall program to leverage speed while minimizing schedule risks.

• Solid knowledge of PMP methodologies and best practices.

• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time is required.

• Must hold a valid driver’s license in their state of residence.

• Local travel to client sites (within a 2-hour driving distance each way) will typically comprise 70-90% of the travel.

• Less than 10% remote travel is required regularly.

• Employees may be exposed to construction site conditions frequently. They are responsible for their safety while on job sites and must comply with all safety regulations set by the General Contractor (GC). Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is generally required on job sites. The environment may include hospitals and medical facilities. Employees can expect to spend at least 40% of their time on their feet and must be capable of moving around construction sites. They must occasionally climb ladders, use stairs, and lift and/or move materials up to 20 pounds in construction areas. Regular use of keyboards, test equipment, and controls necessary for SI installation projects is required.
