This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provides leadership and direction to a project team responsible for reviewing complex insurance products, underwriting, and associated practices.
• Ensures that both individual and team tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Develops project scopes and identifies subsequent steps for assigned initiatives.
• Collaborates with management to create reporting and analytics.
• Works alongside field management and the team to design and improve dashboards.
• Summarizes findings at the agent level and presents results to management.
• Analyzes cost/benefit across product features and underwriting practices to ensure or enhance profitability optimization.
• Engages in meetings with agents and managers to share results.
• Collaborates with Internal Audit on confidential and special projects as well as employee investigations.
• Conducts analyses to uncover underlying trends and opportunities for improvement, providing findings and recommendations to management.
• Develops policies and procedures related to the audit process as necessary.
• Reviews underwriting reporting budgets and assesses cost-benefit analyses.
• Conducts trials to evaluate opportunities for new vendor solutions to assess cost/benefit and potential optimization across products and underwriting.
• Undertakes special projects as needed and may guide others involved in the project.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Technology, or a related field.
• Experience conducting comprehensive internal quality audits and documenting findings.
• Ability to build consensus among managers from various areas.
• Skilled in researching company procedures and guidelines as well as industry best practices.
• Proficient in analyzing operations, evaluating audit findings, developing conclusions, and conducting closing meetings.
• Capable of analyzing problems to pinpoint causes.
• Experienced in applying advanced auditing tools and techniques.
• Adept at identifying trends and assessing potential impacts.
• Effective in working under pressure.
• Experienced in assessing fraud potential and making appropriate referrals for investigation.
• Capable of achieving stated objectives within designated timeframes.
• Strong analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in project planning and management.
• Knowledgeable in risk assessment and root cause analysis.
• Experienced in auditing, consulting, and evaluating insurance processes.
• Familiarity with insurance policy provisions and coverage terminology.
• Knowledgeable about insurance laws and regulations.
• Understanding of underwriting quality standards.
• Proficient in rating and underwriting accuracy.
• Knowledgeable in quality audit techniques and internal control concepts.
• Familiar with descriptive statistics.
• Knowledgeable about audit sampling theories.
• Experienced in investigation techniques.
• Skilled in negotiation techniques.
• Proficient in advanced root cause analysis techniques.
• Familiar with quality concepts and conventions, such as Six Sigma, Total Quality, continuous improvement concepts, Quality Function Deployment, and LEAN.
• Knowledgeable in internal controls.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).
• Experienced with Google Cloud Platform Dashboards.
