This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Oversees all engineering activities (maintains the overall technical solution, develops procedures, and defines and acquires necessary tools, materials, etc.)
• Strategizes, organizes, executes, and ensures the completion of solutions to meet client needs.
• Identifies and anticipates the essential skills and work arrangements required to support the project's objectives.
• May oversee or coordinate the daily operations of engineers, designers, engineering technicians, and other personnel involved in specific project assignments.
• Acts as the Company representative in communications with other organizations to address inquiries, plan, and coordinate work.
• Suggests plans and cost enhancement programs that enable the project to meet its business goals.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• Depending on the position, degrees in Physics, Engineering Technology, and Engineering Science may also be acceptable.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of project life cycles, methodologies, and phases.
• Solid grasp of specific engineering disciplines.
• Knowledge of supply chain and procurement practices.
• Proficiency in budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Experience in stakeholder coordination, team collaboration, and client presentations.
• Skills in prioritization, deadline tracking, and multitasking.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis, innovative thinking, and adaptability.
• Familiarity with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code and NRC regulatory requirements related to the construction and operation of nuclear power plants (e.g., 10CFR50.55a, 10CFR50 Appendices A and B, NUREG-0800).
• Experience with Advanced Reactors and/or Small Modular Reactors.
• Understanding of configuration management in system design, systems engineering, or experience in nuclear plant operations.
• Experience interacting with NRC staff / ACRS (e.g., presenting to regulatory authorities).
