Project Engineer – Chemical Manufacturing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Supervise the technical design and engineering aspects of assigned projects, ensuring they align with the defined scope and are completed successfully.

• Evaluate and select process equipment, vendors, and subcontractors to fulfill project requirements.

• Facilitate communication between field construction teams and subcontractors, maintaining the integrity of the engineering design.

• Conduct customer reviews, addressing technical issues and ensuring alignment with project objectives.

• Work collaboratively with the Plant Manager to address any arising issues.

• Engage in team efforts to promote ongoing improvement of processes and systems, utilizing Lean methodologies and principles.

• Ensure that designs adhere to applicable regulations and industry standards.

• Advocate for safety through the appropriate design of processes and equipment selection.

• Adhere to safety protocols and practices while operating within the plant environment.

• Provide weekly progress reports to senior management.

• Oversee project budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness.

• Ensure timely project completion, meeting customer expectations.

• Assist with special projects and other assigned tasks.

• Capability to manage and oversee projects from the design phase through to completion.

• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

• Strong team collaboration skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.

• Ability to work efficiently in remote environments.

• Skilled in AutoCAD.

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.

• At least 2 years of experience in engineering and/or construction.

• General construction knowledge is preferred.

• Experience in the chemical industry is preferred.
