Engineer – Modern Networks

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Aid in the design and implementation of wireless networks in sectors such as healthcare, manufacturing, retail, large public venues, and corporate offices.

• Assist with wireless assessments and predictive designs utilizing Ekahau AI Pro tools.

• Collaborate with clients to establish project success criteria that align with their business goals.

• Engage in discovery meetings, whiteboarding sessions, and in-depth design discussions.

• Work alongside project teams to document technical solutions and contribute to project deliverables.

• Offer technical troubleshooting and support for wireless networking issues.

• Operate both independently and as part of a team, adjusting to various project requirements.

• Travel to client locations both locally and nationwide as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience and/or military service.

• 3–5 years of experience, which may include military service, or relevant internship/training in wireless networking or IT infrastructure.

• Basic knowledge of Wi-Fi fundamentals, RF behavior, and wireless security protocols, including WPA2/WPA3, 802.1X, and EAP methods.

• Familiarity with Ekahau AI Pro or comparable wireless planning tools is preferred.

• Knowledge of Cisco, Meraki, HPE Aruba, or Mist wireless platforms.

• Foundational understanding of LAN/WAN networking, VLANs, DHCP, and DNS.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; client-focused and team-oriented.

• CWNA certification is preferred or a willingness to pursue it.

• Capability to learn rapidly and adapt in a dynamic consulting environment.

• Must be a US Citizen.

• Willingness to travel 30–40% to client sites, both locally and nationwide.
