This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Supervise the technical design and engineering for designated projects, ensuring they align with the defined scope and are completed successfully.
• Evaluate and choose process equipment, vendors, and subcontractors to fulfill project needs.
• Facilitate communication between field construction teams and subcontractors, maintaining the integrity of the engineering design.
• Lead customer review sessions, addressing technical issues and ensuring alignment with project objectives.
• Collaborate with the Plant Manager to address and resolve any arising issues.
• Work in teams to promote continuous improvement of processes and systems by applying Lean methodologies and principles.
• Ensure that designs adhere to applicable regulations and industry standards.
• Advocate for safety through the appropriate design of processes and selection of equipment.
• Adhere to safety protocols and practices while operating within the plant.
• Provide weekly progress reports to senior management.
• Manage project budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure timely project completion while meeting customer expectations.
• Assist with special projects and additional tasks as assigned.
• Capability to oversee and manage projects from the design phase through to completion.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
• Ability to function effectively in remote work environments.
• Skilled in AutoCAD.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
• At least 2 years of experience in engineering and/or construction.
• General knowledge of construction practices (preferred).
• Experience within the chemical industry (preferred).
