Project Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Implement safety protocols and regulations

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of project drawings and specifications

• Create and manage project documentation

• Understand and leverage the electronic submission process

• Develop and maintain logs for submissions

• Efficiently review and expedite shop drawings and submissions

• Set up projects and jobs as instructed by Project Managers

• Create and manage the Request for Information (RFI) log and responses

• Prepare, maintain, and distribute regularly scheduled meeting minutes

• Generate drawing and specification logs, ensuring they are updated throughout the project

• Keep As-Built drawings updated with issued changes

• Engage professionally and successfully with subcontractors and vendors

• Assist in gathering project closeout documentation, including operation and maintenance manuals, commissioning reports, warranties, and As-Built drawings

⛳️ Requirements

• A college degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in commercial construction operations, with a commitment to obtaining a relevant degree

• Internship experience with an architectural or commercial construction company is preferred but not mandatory

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Blue Beam, and Adobe Professional

• Strong time management abilities

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• High attention to detail, adeptness at following directions, and the ability to meet high-pressure deadlines with ease

• Professional demeanor and ability to represent the organization positively

• Willingness to learn, grow, and take initiative to support the success of leadership and the project team

• At least 2 years of experience at this level required before promotion to Project Management Software and ongoing training
