Project Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary leader engaging with customers for a significant, high-value project site, ensuring alignment on execution priorities, expectations, risks, and outcomes.

• Oversee the complete execution of a large, intricate customer project site, typically valued at over $60M.

• Manage all stages of project delivery from the transition out of solution design through installation, commissioning, testing, go-live, and project closeout.

• Serve as the customer's voice within the project team while maintaining appropriate boundaries, scope discipline, accountability, and commercial alignment.

• Enhance project financial performance through meticulous forecasting, cost management, margin protection, change management, and risk mitigation.

• Ensure project execution aligns with customer business objectives, contractual obligations, and FORTNA delivery standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree (or its international equivalent).

• Over 8 years of experience in program management, project delivery, or leadership within supply chain/automation.

• Proven leadership experience in managing large, complex customer implementations, ideally exceeding $60M in project value.

• Demonstrated ability to lead significant site-based project execution in high-pressure, customer-facing settings.

• Extensive experience in managing project scope, budget, schedule, risks, resources, contractual obligations, and customer expectations.

• Strong financial and business acumen, including forecasting, cost control, margin management, change management, and risk mitigation.

• Excellent customer relationship skills with the capability to communicate effectively, manage escalations, and uphold customer confidence.

• Highly skilled in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
