This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Conducts preliminary and conceptual engineering activities, encompassing energy analysis and modeling.
• Execute and assist with ASHRAE Level I and Level II energy audits.
• Aid in business development efforts that result in awarded contracts, including building client relationships, strategic project positioning, team collaborations, proposal development, and delivering oral presentations.
• Oversee project scheduling and all associated Project Development tasks using Microsoft Project®.
• Retrieve utility data from customer invoices for energy modeling purposes.
• Carry out custom engineering computations and energy modeling utilizing eQuest and Trane Trace 3D®.
• Assist implementation and commissioning teams by supplying necessary information and data to successfully complete projects.
• Leverage knowledge of mission-critical systems and terminology to instill customer confidence during energy audits, client interactions, and Project Development.
• Engage in intricate problem-solving during energy audits, contributing innovative and creative solutions.
• Ensure timely delivery of project outputs and compliance with development schedules.
• Investigate, assess, and recommend new and emerging technologies for application in future projects.
• Execute all responsibilities in alignment with the Company’s vision, mission, quality objectives, and established policies and procedures.
• Relevant Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or at least 5 years of experience.
• Additional professional certifications in project development, engineering, or energy-related fields are advantageous (e.g., LEED-AP, CEM, DBIA, etc.).
• Minimum of two years of progressive experience in project development or implementation.
• Strong initiative and excellent interpersonal communication skills are essential.
• Demonstrates engineering and analytical proficiency to devise complex solutions and establish credibility.
• Experience collaborating on intricate projects with interdisciplinary teams of professionals.
• Moderate regional travel is required, with potential for limited national travel.
• Willingness to travel 30 – 50% of the time.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks effectively to ensure timely delivery of high-quality outputs.
• Proven ability to collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders while providing exceptional customer service in a dynamic growth environment.
• Capable of functioning effectively in a fast-paced, evolving, entrepreneurial work setting.
• Proficiency in energy modeling software, trend analysis reporting, L1 Energy Audit Report generation, CxAlloy software, and Functional Performance Testing is expected.
