This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.
• Comprehensive management of project controlling from start to finish.
• You will assist projects throughout the entire corporate group – including international initiatives – covering the full project lifecycle: from project approval to implementation and final closure.
• You are responsible for ensuring budget adherence, monitoring costs, revenues, cash flows, and provisions, while identifying discrepancies at an early stage.
• Your duties include creating, maintaining, and tracking project budgets, forecasts, and profitability analyses.
• You will prepare regular project and management reports (including actual vs. planned comparisons, contribution margins, and forecasts) and offer concrete recommendations for action.
• You will collaborate closely with project managers, sales, and project operations, acting as a commercial/financial sparring partner.
• You will actively engage in identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency enhancements in ongoing and planned projects.
• Your role involves analyzing project structures, processes, and cost trends while promoting the advancement of project controlling within the group.
• You will review project-related proposals, contracts, and purchase orders for economic viability and formal accuracy.
• You will ensure compliance with risk management and controlling guidelines.
• You will support monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, as well as internal and external audits related to projects.
• A degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• Several years of professional experience in project controlling, preferably within a project-focused or international context.
• Strong knowledge of project lifecycles, budget management, and profitability analyses.
• Experience in identifying and implementing cost-saving and optimization opportunities.
• Solid understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Power BI, or similar BI tools.
• Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory.
• Ideally, good command of written and spoken German.
• An analytical, structured working approach and strong communication skills when interacting with international stakeholders.
