This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the complete accounting cycle for six interconnected entities.
• Ensure precise general ledgers through accrual-based accounting practices.
• Prepare and evaluate monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and Balance Sheets.
• Execute monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
• Maintain consistency across entities regarding shared vendors and cost structures.
• Supervise all bill payment processes across various entities.
• Cultivate vendor relationships and guarantee timely payments.
• Monitor expenditures and uncover cost-saving opportunities.
• Provide weekly accounts receivable reporting to the CEO.
• Track collections and manage aging reports.
• Collaborate closely with operations to enhance revenue cycle efficiency.
• Process payroll for approximately 10 full-time employees utilizing Gusto.
• Manage payments for around 10 independent contractors.
• Ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations across multiple states.
• Guarantee adherence to multi-state tax regulations.
• Coordinate with external CPAs for tax filings and audits.
• Maintain appropriate documentation and internal controls.
• Provide weekly accounts payable and receivable updates to the CEO.
• Assist in the creation of financial dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Support strategic decision-making with financial insights.
• Aid in developing scalable accounting processes as the company grows.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Over 5 years of accounting experience, preferably at the Controller or Senior Accountant level.
• Strong background in accrual-based accounting, P&L, and balance sheet management.
• Experience in managing multiple entities simultaneously.
• Payroll experience, preferably with Gusto or a similar platform.
• Familiarity with multi-state tax compliance.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Capability to work independently in a remote setting.
