This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assist in conducting structural inspections, evaluations, investigations, and assessments of existing buildings.

• Execute structural analysis and aid in formulating repair and retrofit solutions for concrete, steel, masonry, and wood structures.

• Generate engineering calculations, technical reports, drawings, and project-related documentation.

• Contribute to the creation of construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates.

• Engage in site investigations and field inspections, including tasks performed from scaffolding and lifts as required.

• Collaborate with architects, contractors, consultants, and internal project teams throughout every phase of a project.

• Assist with the preparation of permitting and regulatory filing documentation.

• Create and revise drawings utilizing AutoCAD.

• Support construction administration tasks, such as reviewing submittals, addressing RFIs, and performing site observations.

• Ensure accurate project documentation is maintained and that work adheres to relevant building codes and company quality standards.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (preferably with a structural concentration).

• 3 to 5 years of experience in structural engineering.

• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification, or the ability to obtain it shortly after hire.

• Proficient understanding of structural analysis principles and California building codes.

• Experience with AutoCAD.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Comfort with working at heights and conducting field inspections.

• Preferred experience with existing buildings, façade restoration, or structural rehabilitation.

• Familiarity with seismic evaluation and retrofit projects is preferred.

• Experience with structural analysis software (such as RAM, ETABS, SAP2000, RISA, or similar) is preferred.

• Progress toward obtaining a California Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
