This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Support Coast Guard Sponsors with direct print ordering requirements from the Government Publishing Office and related documentation.
• Collaborate with Coast Guard publication owners and representatives concerning print and electronic publishing processes, templates, compliance standards, and project progress.
• Monitor print projects, assignments, training activities, and other business deliverables.
• Maintain correspondence and documentation within audit portfolios and checklists.
• Guide Sponsors on documented publishing compliance requirements and relevant GPO regulations.
• Detect potential Section 508 accessibility concerns and assist with basic remediation using Microsoft Office and Adobe tools.
• Help with proofreading, grammar, spelling, basic editing, template application, and final quality assurance checks.
• Engage in daily Microsoft Teams meetings, providing status updates and reporting on project achievements and deliverables.
• Ensure proactive and professional communication with Coast Guard Sponsors and the print publishing community.
• Assist in initiatives aimed at decentralizing enterprise print ordering to enhance print production efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Work collaboratively with publishing, administrative, technical, and government stakeholders.
• An Associate’s degree or equivalent is preferred in fields such as English, Communications, Information Technology, Policy, Administration, Military Science, Library Science, Homeland Security, or a related area.
• A minimum of 2 years of customer service or interoffice/interagency experience, ideally related to print production and project assistance/support.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and basic document editing skills.
• Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute.
• Strong organizational abilities for tracking assignments, documentation, and business deliverables.
• Capability to communicate professionally and effectively with customers and government stakeholders.
• Keen attention to detail with the ability to maintain precise project documentation.
• Highly proficient command of the English language.
• Ability to work efficiently in a primarily virtual setting and engage in daily Microsoft Teams coordination meetings.
• Previous experience with GPO, print production/publication management, report tracking, desktop publishing, Section 508 accessibility, Adobe Acrobat Pro, SharePoint, Microsoft Power Platform/Power Apps, and federal or military publishing experience are advantageous.
• Must qualify for Tier 1, Low Risk, Non-Sensitive HSPD-12 credentialing, including the completion of SF-85.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) for access to Coast Guard facilities and information systems.
• No security clearance is required.
