This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Assist in the design and planning of facilities for electric vehicle operations.
• Create architectural drawing packages for several simultaneous facility projects.
• Generate site layouts, feasibility studies, and initial concepts for both new and existing EV facilities.
• Develop site plans, floor plans, elevations, sections, and architectural details.
• Investigate relevant code requirements and compile code analyses for each site across various jurisdictions.
• Coordinate architectural layouts with project specifications, owner standards, and internal design criteria.
• Ensure uniformity throughout a portfolio of prototype-based facilities.
• Engage in design reviews and integrate client feedback into deliverables.
• Create and sustain Revit models throughout the design process.
• Conduct model quality assessments, including audits and cleanup tasks.
• Establish and maintain BIM standards, templates, families, shared parameters, and consistency in project documentation.
• Assist in model organization, file management, and data integrity maintenance.
• Contribute to the development of standardized prototype documents and reusable design assets.
• Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency across recurring project types.
• Comply with SOX control responsibilities where applicable.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering.
• Licensed Architect or actively pursuing licensure.
• Over 6 years of architectural experience.
• Advanced skills in Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Bluebeam.
• Experience in producing schematic design and design development documentation.
• Familiarity with BIM model management.
• Strong knowledge of construction codes and the ability to read and interpret relevant code requirements.
• Capability to manage multiple projects within a fast-paced setting.
• Exceptional organizational and communication abilities.
• Preferred: Experience with EV, automotive, industrial, mission-critical, or prototype facility design.
• Preferred: Understanding of sustainability principles and energy-efficient design strategies.
• Preferred: Experience with Google Workspace.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Miro.
