Project Accountant, Commercial Analyst – AU Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Generate weekly and monthly management reports

• Monitor project profitability and margins

• Evaluate budgets against actual project expenses

• Conduct variance analysis and detect cost overruns

• Assist in forecasting revenue and project cash flow

• Create dashboards for management reporting

• Aid in project budgeting from start to finish

• Project labor, plant, and material costs

• Oversee committed costs and project spending

• Track costs related to subcontractors and suppliers

• Compile project performance reports for management

• Support Project Managers with their financial reporting needs

• Contribute to annual budgeting and business forecasting

• Analyze historical project performance

• Recognize trends and opportunities for enhancing profitability

• Assist with pricing analysis for upcoming tenders

• Provide commercial insights to facilitate business decisions

• Maintain project registers and documentation for reporting

• Assist with contract management

• Monitor project milestones and significant deliverables

• Coordinate documentation between the office and project teams

• Ensure accurate project records and reporting systems

• Enhance reporting processes and internal workflows

• Develop reporting templates and dashboards

• Identify automation opportunities

• Support the implementation of new systems and procedures

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in Commercial Administration, Management Accounting, Project Controls, or Financial Analysis

• Strong background in budgeting and forecasting

• Experience in supporting construction, engineering, or infrastructure sectors

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Exceptional analytical and reporting abilities

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

• High attention to detail

• Capability to work independently

• Familiarity with:

• Job costing

• Project forecasting

• Construction reporting

• Xero

• MYOB

• Power BI

• Microsoft 365

• ERP or construction management software

• Procore

• Jobpac

• Viewpoint

• CHEOPS

• Buildlogic (or similar construction ERP platforms)
