Programme Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with the Director of the West Africa Observatory to strategize, execute, and monitor team activities.

• Facilitate the timely, efficient, and effective execution of designated projects.

• Oversee the management of invoices and the payment processes for suppliers and consultants.

• Ensure that procurement documentation adheres to GI-TOC policies and procedures.

• Handle project budgets and financial forecasts, ensuring appropriate resource allocation.

• Coordinate team contributions for project narrative reports.

• Organize both virtual and in-person project meetings and events.

• Arrange travel for staff, consultants, and external contributors in line with GI-TOC travel policy.

• Assist in developing team strategies through functional data analysis and recommendations.

• Serve as a liaison between team members and grant liaisons to facilitate project delivery and ensure audit compliance.

• Identify and assess funding opportunities, supporting proposals, concept notes, extensions, and renewals.

• Contribute to GI-TOC initiatives, conferences, events, and other engagements.

• Provide training to new team members on functional processes and reporting tools.

• Offer project management and donor-reporting training and mentorship to affiliated local civil society organizations.


⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in business administration or project management is preferred.

• Over 5 years of professional experience in administration or project management.

• Strong skills in budget management and financial forecasting.

• Proficient in both English and French.

• Competent in Microsoft software, particularly MS Word and MS Excel.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team setting.

• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.

• Robust organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• A proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate needs.

• Driven and enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced environment.
