This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• Implement analytical frameworks grounded in key impact metrics tailored to specific country contexts.
• Deliver actionable analyses that address program implementation challenges and provide insights for various stakeholders to enhance program design and development.
• Uphold the organization's data quality standards through consistent internal assessments and reviews.
• Conduct data audits to pinpoint and rectify issues, while educating Ecosystem trainers and coordinators on best practices to foster a robust data quality culture among all participants.
• Compile detailed reports and document insights that promote program enhancement, ensuring that intricate data is communicated effectively to varied audiences.
• Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Medical Sociology, Epidemiology, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in public health, health analytics, and data systems within Sub-Saharan Africa.
• Proficient in utilizing DHIS2, Python, SQL, Tableau, SPSS, and Excel.
• Strong understanding of relational databases (MySQL, SQL Server, SQLite) and database programming with Python and MySQL.
• Capability to triangulate/compare Tiko platform data with other relevant datasets from national, regional, and global reporting systems.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate substantial amounts of information with precision and attention to detail.
• Proficient at documenting insights that lead to program improvement for diverse audiences.
• Capable of writing clearly and effectively for various contexts and purposes.
• Collaborative and communicative, adept at building strong relationships across teams and stakeholders.
• Recognized for posing critical, constructive questions that reveal new programmatic perspectives.
