This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the enterprise data glossary and business definitions, ensuring alignment with the curation parameters established by the core product team.
• Develop and uphold data governance policies, quality controls, and business-rule validation frameworks.
• Assess which datasets are suitable for use and enforce a single source of truth.
• Create and document the business data lineage from the product data layer to each stakeholder function.
• Act as the analytics partner throughout the organization, converting data needs into governed, reusable definitions and reports.
• Provide training and support to business users on how to access, interpret, and utilize approved datasets and dashboards.
• Analyze data anomalies and historical discrepancies, take responsibility for escalating data quality issues, and implement structural controls to prevent future occurrences.
• Assist external data consumers with well-documented and governed definitions.
• Collaborate with the product team and the Senior Director of Informatics on changes to the underlying data model and evaluate downstream impacts prior to rollout.
• Report directly to the Strategic Program Manager as a senior individual contributor.
• At least 5 years of experience, or equivalent depth, in a data governance or business intelligence role.
• Proven experience in building and maintaining data glossaries, business definitions, and metadata documentation.
• Proficient in SQL with hands-on experience using modern BI and reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
• Demonstrated capability to collaborate across functions and translate their requirements into governed, reusable data.
• Ability to simplify complex data for non-technical stakeholders, both in writing and verbally.
• Comfortable working independently, owning a function from start to finish, and driving adoption across teams without direct reports.
• Experience in healthcare data or other regulated data environments.
• Familiar with data modeling and transformation tools (e.g., dbt, Dataform, or similar).
• Exposure to external-facing or customer-delivered data products.
