Program Manager – Benefits

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee U.S. absence and health management programs.

• Act as the strategic and operational leader for absence policy standards.

• Ensure adherence to compliance, consistency, scalability, and a positive experience for associates.

• Serve as the relationship owner for TPA, managing U.S. leave and disability operations.

• Identify and escalate any alignment discrepancies among policy intent, system setup, payroll processing, and employee communications.

• Assist in the development and execution of communication strategies for absence, leave, and health management programs.

• Keep process documentation, training resources, and knowledge materials up to date.

• Collaborate with HR shared services, HR Technology, Payroll, and external vendors to address administrative issues.

• Evaluate key absence and health metrics and offer recommendations to guide decision-making.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree is required.

• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in absence management, leave administration, disability, or health & welfare benefits.

• In-depth knowledge of U.S. leave programs (FMLA, ADA, STD/LTD, state leaves).

• Experience in managing enterprise vendors and navigating complex stakeholder environments.

• Prior experience with Workday Leave and Time Off modules, as well as HR case management tools (e.g., ServiceNow), is highly preferred.

• Experience with global or multi-country benefits, including statutory compliance and harmonization efforts.

• Strong analytical abilities to interpret trends in absence and health data.

• Demonstrated capability to function at both strategic and executional levels within a transformative environment.
