Program Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• As a Program Manager, you will oversee the complete delivery of data platform and cloud transformation projects or programs, spanning from initiation to final closure.

• Manage projects at the program level that have competing priorities while sustaining momentum, quality, and stakeholder alignment.

• Convert client business goals into organized, milestone-driven delivery plans that include clear acceptance criteria.

• Lead and synchronize multidisciplinary teams across data engineering, cloud platforms, governance, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders.

• Facilitate delivery across various release waves, ensuring consistency, predictability, and quality at scale.

• Empower teams to perform at their best by providing clarity, structure, and robust delivery leadership.

• Be responsible for the overall health of the project or program, including the feasibility of delivery concerning scope, timeline, budget, resources, risks, and interdependencies.

• Actively identify and alleviate program-level risks related to technology, operations, and organizational change.

• Ensure that each milestone and release complies with defined quality, governance, validation, and operational readiness standards.

• Foster trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, guaranteeing transparency, clarity, and confidence throughout the engagement.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6-8+ years of experience in program or senior project management within consulting settings, serving as the primary client point of contact and adeptly managing and setting expectations.

• In-depth understanding of structured delivery models (Agile, hybrid, or waterfall-based) and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously amidst competing priorities.

• Extensive experience in project planning, scope management, timelines, resourcing, risk management, and budgeting.

• Proven experience delivering under fixed-fee or milestone-gated commercial frameworks, which include structured acceptance criteria, formal client sign-off processes, and change-order procedures when scope or complexity diverges from contract assumptions.

• Delivery expertise in cloud data platform and migration initiatives (GCP strongly preferred); familiarity with cloud-native architectures, data pipeline patterns, and governance tools sufficient to make informed delivery choices, evaluate technical risks, and engage credibly with platform and engineering stakeholders without necessitating complete translation from the Technical Lead.

• Adequate data literacy to independently manage a data-program RAID log, comprehending pipeline dependencies, data quality risks, governance boundaries among platform tools, and the downstream effects of schema or logic changes on data consumers and dashboards.

• Demonstrated ownership of delivery results across multi-country, multi-timezone teams, including accountability for handoff quality, remote team performance, and cross-location dependency management, which encompasses stakeholder coordination across various geographies.

• Experience in designing and implementing operational transition plans, which include knowledge transfer, runbook delivery, and formal handoff to client operations teams or third-party managed service providers at program closeout.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
